Cornice Boards Finished

I have working on making custom upholstered boards for the windows in a bedroom. The fabric is amazing and graphic with such great color. Here are the steps I took to complete the project.

I measured the window and made the frames from chip board. I then used a thin foam and cut it 1/2 smaller all the way around. Using spray adhesive I attached the foam.

I then stapled poly batting over the foam.

The next step is to cover the boards with the fabric. Choosing what part of the pattern is very important. I took much time playing with this. I stapled it along the edge of the boards.

I made 2 welting cords. A large one from the graphic fabric and a smaller one from a purple cotton. I stapled this along the edge to give a finished look.

The final step is to attach an off white duck cloth to the back to complete the look. Finished room to come.

Hello! What is the brand/pattern of your fabric on your cornice? It's great and I have a client that would love it!
